I have been working on the storyline of my latest graphic picture book, Catworld, and polishing the Acts. In addition I have been working on the mockup of the book, designing the layout and getting all the images and text in.  A huge help in this writing has been advice and guidance from K.M. Weiland and their podcast 'Helping Writers Become Authors'. Writing is such an important part of it all.

Lately I have also been doing daily comics. 'My Comic Life' drawing the moments of each day and things that stand out for me as I travel through life. I must admit, it has become addictive! It is also helping me be able to put what's in my head onto the paper and sometimes I find the illustrations are almost drawing themselves. All the lessons I completed in SVS Learn and through the Picture Book Pro course are paying off. It is becoming automatic to see the world from perspective, and building up from shapes as well as putting it all together. While I have no plans on making these comics public, they amuse me and my family. They also highlight just how many little funny moments and memorable times in life there actually are and now I can look back on those. Here's a few pages:

Also in the news is that my latest dolphin research paper was published! Thanks to Andrew Cooke at the University of Lincoln for all your help, interest, encouragement and belief inn the paper and getting that valuable data out there for other researchers to build on and to contribute to the welfare and conservation of Australian humpback dolphins. Here is a link to the new paper:

And further to that ABC online contacted me and did an article on the research and the dolphins:
